Because Fall Is a time Of Smells and yummy treats! 

I thought it Appropriate to start off With A recipe! ...What better way to make your Home Smell Warm and Delightful?

For those of you who follow me on Pinterest you may have seen me pin this This One...

But hey...Whats pinterest for any way? :)

~Candy Corn Sugar Cookies~

2 Sticks Butter, softened

1 c. Sugar

1 Egg
2 T. Lemon Juice
2 t. Lemon Zest
1/8 t. Salt
3 c. Flour
1/2 t. Baking Soda
Red Food Dye
Yellow Food Dye
1/2 c. Granulated Sugar (for dusting)

Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add egg, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt. Continue beating until well mixed. Add flour and baking soda, beat until well mixed. Divide dough into thirds. Press one-third of the white dough evenly into the bottom of a loaf pan that you have lined with foil, wax, or parchment paper. Place another one-third of the dough into a bowl and add yellow and red food dye to make orange (refer to the chart on the back of your box). Once it is mixed evenly, press orange dough evenly over white dough. In another bowl, add the final amount of dough and dye yellow. Press that evenly over the orange dough. Cover and refrigerate until firm (2 hours or overnight is best). Once chilled, invert your loaf pan and unwrap your dough. Flip it back over and place it on a cutting board. Cut loaf crosswise into 1/4-inch slices using a sharp knife, trimming edges to make even, if necessary. Cut each slice into 6 wedges.

Place 1-inch apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 7-10 minutes in a pre-heated 375 degree oven. Place cookies straight into a bowl with sugar and coat. Place coated cookies on a baking rack to cool.

Well... I used to play the piano, but decided to work more with my gifting...I sing :)

2. If you could travel in time, what era would you visit?

Okay...wow...hmmmm...For one, I would love to go back to the biblical days to see Jesus!...or I would go back to the late 1800's in the Victorian era! 

3. What's you favorite color?

I have many...

4. Favorite pastime?

Blog, draw, write,talk with friends, do weird things, and make movies!

5. What's your dream car?

A Black or Red Ford f250...Mustang convertible, or a  Ferrari,

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Italy, Ireland, or this island I saw a picture of that's really cool...but I cant remember what it's called. :)

7. What's scarier to you, Fire or flooding?

Flooding.

8. How many houses have you lived in?
One... So far :)

One. 9. If you had to be a bug, which bug would you be?

It would be pretty cool to be a honey bee, but they only live 30 days... then I thought...perhaps a lightning bug? and they live 9 months! which is not to bad...but if I wanted to live a long time as a bug...I'd be a Termite queen...she can live up to  50 years. :D

10. You are going on a week trip and can only take 1 thing, what would you take?

Money...

11. What's your worse cooking experience?

Hmmm...Once I made a salad for a whole crowd and added WAY to much salt!

and another time I thought blue agave  was molasses, and used that (plus sugar) in some ginger bread cookies :D
